NOMADS: TOP OF THE LEAGUE ... ''should bring the crowd back''

February 24, 2011  |    Share

Nomads v Japan, 2nd Division League Game 30th January: We were losing 2-0 after a dreadful start, however, man of the match (MOM), Stephen Borrill (4) and Phil Connolly (1) carved out a richly deserved 5-2 victory.

Nomads v Touring Polish side 1st February: Truly awful first half performance from everyone. Goals from Phil Connolly, Darren Hartman and Mac Hwedi gave Nomads an exciting 3-3 draw against a very physical European team.

Nomads v Sunken Garden Utd, 2nd Division League Game 6th February: A bright start followed by a fantastic finish, that’s better, just the bit in the middle missing!! Mark Hartman led the scoring with 3 goals, however, big (or is it small) brother Darren Hartman earned the MOM in a convincing 8-2 Nomads victory. We had nineteen players to chose from, a luxury yet a headache, at the same time.

Nomads v Lions FC 2nd Division League Game 13th February. Another hattrick from Mark Hartman and 1 goal from Oliver Polkinghorne.

TOP OF THE LEAGUE: played 3, won 3, and scored 20 goals.

That should bring the crowd back, though worryingly, we are conceding too many. Maybe I should get my fat ass in the gym…. By Mic Denison
