6 Nomads members make it to the national cricket teamMarch 31, 2011 | Share Nomad’s members Faisal Khan, Henry Ahuja, Syed Ali, Gaurav Kaushik, Rana Sameer and Gohar Ali were selected to represent the Philippines at the ICC East Asian Championships held in Apia, Samoa from 4 to 8 April 2011. The national squad was managed by Gary Powell and coached by Iain Sinclair, both long time Nomads members. This is the first time that a Philippine cricket team to take part in an international competition. The team left Manila on March 31. They went to Fiji to play 2 games against players from the Fiji Cricket Association development squad. The matches in Samoa will be the 20 x 20 format. The Philippines first game will be against Indonesia followed by matches against the Cook Islands, Samoa, South Korea and Tonga.
